HOUSTON...WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

I'm so glad Draik got to go to Space Camp. She really had a lot of fun away from the parentals with all of her friends. I especially love the close-up picture of Maissy, Draik and Geanna- the 3 Amigas. It's a priceless picture as all 3 of them got their braces in the fall. The best part of camp for Draik? Getting her picture made with a yellow submarine, riding the cool rides (Yeah, she did the G), and learning about the space program. The best part for me? The text message Wednesday morning: "Save the hot water. I need a good shower. I love you and we're just leaving the parking lot now...I'm coming home! Your little Gilmore Girl".

SWIMMING WITH THE FISHES!

We really had a lot of fun on our mini-vaca...I wish it had been longer, and I wish we could've done more. Adam and I have decided we must be beyond old, because we're still exhausted from our weekend get-away!

VERY BUSY FAMILY

Whew! The past few weeks have flew by! It's been a while since I've got to post, so here's some updates:

*I have successfully made it back to work...it was hard leaving Riley at daycare. I cried his first day! But, he's going to a TERRIFIC daycare- and he is flourishing! At his 2 month check, he was 12 lbs., 5 oz. His phe levels have been in the high 7% range...which is acceptable for him. He got up to 17.4% at his 2 month check, but Nyssa told us that was normal as he is growing so fast. Work has been steady and rewarding as I've taken on new tasks, trying to make myself even more valuable to our company.

*Draik went to space camp in Huntsville, AL...and loved it! She has had so much interest in forensic science/investigating/judicial area for the past few years that I was really surprised when she came home and asked if she could be a counselor at the camp someday! She has tons of pics, and I will post them in a separate post. Amusingly, she took a TON of pictures of military planes/rockets/helicopters and space shuttles because she knows her dad likes that kind of stuff...and she took tons of photos of fast-food restaurants from the ride home- maybe those were for me.

*Regan and Riley enjoyed a wonderful mini-vacation while Draik was at space camp. Adam and I took the boys to Atlanta last weekend for a visit to the Aquarium. We stayed at the Hilton at Centennial Park (very nice); visited the Aquarium and took in the Titanic Exhibit (the only reason Regan wanted to go); ate at Ruth's Chris Steak House (not as good as I thought it'd be); and swam at the hotel's indoor pool...Riley even had his first swim lesson! I was so exhausted when we got back home...it felt like we'd been gone for a week- and I slept for over 14 hours once I got home!

*The kids went back to school after their winter break and immediately brought home a stomach bug...but, they also brought home straight-A's on their report cards:)
